Nine-time Pro Bowl offensive tackle Jason Peters is expected to retire after 19 seasons in the NFL, Seattle Seahawks general manager John Schneider told reporters Tuesday, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The 43-year-old spent the last two seasons with the Seahawks, but didn’t appear in a game for Seattle this past season. Peters was the oldest active player following Tom Brady’s retirement in 2023.

He will remain with the Seahawks in a player engagement role, working closely with the team’s offensive linemen, Schneider told The Seattle Times’ Bob Condotta.

Peters spent the main portion of his 11 years with the Philadelphia Eagles, where he was a part of their 2017 Super Bowl winning team. He was selected to the NFL’s All-Decade Team for the 2010s.

Peters began his career with the Buffalo Bills in 2004 after going undrafted out of Arkansas. The six-time All-Pro also had stints with the Chicago Bears and Dallas Cowboys.
