The Los Angeles Chargers will play in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on Friday night in Week 1 next season, the NFL announced Wednesday.

The Chargers’ opponent will be revealed when the NFL’s 2025 schedule is released in May. Corinthians Arena, home of soccer club SC Corinthians, will host the game.

The Chargers are coming off an 11-6 regular season in Jim Harbaugh’s first season as head coach. The Chargers lost to the Houston Texans in the wild-card round.

The Philadelphia Eagles and Green Bay Packers met in the NFL’s first game in Brazil in Week 1 of the 2024 season. Philly won the matchup 34-29.

There are now seven confirmed international games for the 2025 season. There will also be games in in Spain, Germany, Ireland, and England (three games) were previously announced.
