The NFL just keep going up and to the right. The NFL and NFLPA agreed to a $279.2-million salary cap for 2025, the league announced Thursday.

That represents a 9.3% increase from last year’s $255.4-million figure. The league previously informed teams that the cap would fall between $277.5 million and $281.5 million.

Total player costs, including benefits, are projected to be roughly $11.6 billion league-wide, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.

The NFL salary cap has increased by $159 million since 2011, according to Spotrac.

Top players set to negotiate new contracts on the free-agent market this offseason include Tee Higgins, and Sam Darnold, among others. With this raise in salary cap, it will be interesting to see who gets the big bag this offseason. Ja’Marr Chase is an example of a guy who should be getting a HUGE amount of money.
