The Green Bay Packers have decided to re-sign linebacker Isaiah McDuffie to a two-year, $8-million contract, sources told ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler. The deal could be worth as much as $9.5 million with incentives, Fowler adds.

McDuffie started all 17 games for the first time in his career this past season for the Packers. The 25-year-old ranked second on the Packers with 97 combined tackles and also added on three tackles for loss, one forced fumble, and half a sack.

He was set to become a free agent, but this deal will bring him back to the team for the short term future. Green Bay selected McDuffie in the sixth round of the 2021 draft out of Boston College. This is the same college where the Packers defensive Coordinator used to be a Head Coach at.

The Packers still have a decision to make concerning the future of linebacker Quay Walker, who’s led the team in tackles all three seasons of his career. Green Bay has until May first to pick up the fifth-year option on his rookie deal.
