The Dallas Cowboys are signing defensive tackle Osa Odighizuwa to a four-year, $80-million contract with $58 million guaranteed, his agents told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Dallas reportedly would have used the franchise tag on Odighizuwa if the two sides couldn’t agree on a long-term extension before the deadline. However, the two sides were in communication and able to make this deal happen.
Osa has been with the Cowboys since they selected him in the third round of the 2021 draft. He’s started every regular-season game over the last three seasons, and has been very valuable to their defense.
Odighizuwa had a great 2024 season last year, posting career highs in tackles (47), quarterback hits (23), sacks (4.5), and quarterback pressures (60). He also played 77.9% of Dallas’ defensive snaps.
The Cowboys have locked up Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, and now Odighizuwa to long-term, big-money deals over the last calendar year, and it only keeps going from there. Now, up next? Star edge rusher Micah Parsons is the next player in line for an extension.
