Running back Miles Sanders to sign a one-year deal with the Dallas Cowboys, sources told Jeremy Fowler.

The former Pro Bowler spent the past two seasons with the Carolina Panthers, where he rushed for 637 yards and four touchdowns over 27 games.

Sanders, who is only 27, is a six-year veteran who played his first four seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles. For his career, he’s averaged 4.7 yards per carry while adding on 23 rushing touchdowns and four additional receiving scores.

The move comes after Rico Dowdle departed via free agency, reportedly landing a one-year deal with the Panthers. Dowdle ran for 1,079 yards with the Cowboys last season. This is one of those rare situations where it seems like the teams traded, but they did not.

Sanders joins a Dallas backfield that includes Javonte Williams, Deuce Vaughn, and Malik Davis.
