Jon Calipari was being touted as the savior of Arkansas basketball when he signed his 5 year 35 million dollar deal with a 1 million dollar signing bonus. As of now, the feeling is that Arkansas hired the wrong guy for the job.

Arkansas had some things to worry about from the non-conference schedule, however, the winning was happening. At 11-2 going into conference play, fans still had hope that the lack of ball movement and other wrinkles would get ironed out.

After going 0-4 to start SEC conference play, the tone has changed and the garment is still wrinkled. Good news is that it is still early and the Razorbacks are only 4 games back from first in the SEC. The bad news, the Razorbacks are dead last in the SEC as the only team with zero wins and four losses.

Calipari historically has not been a good in season or in game adjuster as a head coach. His teams were either good, or great, never has he hit a speed bump and got back on track.

Arkansas Basketball seems to have a Apathetic Coach

It seems from his post games conferences that he doesn’t even know that he coaches Arkansas. He has statements such as, and I am paraphrasing, I don’t even know who or when we play next.

His lack of accountability or care as it comes off is alarming. It feels like he is happy with his Kentucky and Memphis legacy and just showed up to get paid at Arkansas.

It is a shame and a disgrace to the school, the program, and the sport. I know for a fact their are missing Eric Musselman right about now.

Arkansas basketball has hit rock bottom. With an 0-4 conference record and a 1-6 Quad 1 record, it is safe to say, there is always next year for the Razorbacks.
