Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson announced quarterback Trevor Lawrence entered the concussion protocol following Sunday night’s 23-7 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, according to ESPN’s Michael DiRocco.

Pederson added postgame that Lawrence was placed in the protocol due to a hit received in the fourth quarter.

Lawrence and the Jaguars offense struggled during the Week 15 prime-time loss, totaling just one scoring drive. They shot themselves in the foot multiple times, with two missed field goals in the swirling winds. Along with that, they also had two fumbles by Lawrence.

Trevor Lawrence completed 25 of his 43 pass attempts for 264 yards with one touchdown to zero interceptions plus 41 yards on the ground. He finished with an 83.9 passer rating. The 2021 No. 1 pick has been banged up this month. He has also suffered a high ankle sprain in a Week 13 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. He played the next week however, but did not seem fully healthy.

Jacksonville has lost three straight games to fall to 8-6. The Jaguars still hold the lead in the AFC South due to tiebreakers over the Houston Texans and Indianapolis Colts, but things now just got interesting in the AFC South.
