Some good news for the Commanders and receiver Terry McLaurin.

After undergoing an MRI on his toe, there is no serious damage according to a person with knowledge of the situation. The person has stayed anonymous due to the team not having to update injuries like this in the preseason.

McLaurin got injured during the preseason game against the Baltimore Ravens, and did not return. McLaurin is believed to be dealing with a toe sprain (also known as turf toe). It is not fully confirmed when he will return to the field.

The Commanders will be anxiously waiting for McLaurin’s return as he looks to be the top pass catcher for newly announced starter Sam Howell. McLaurin has been a star for this team since being drafted 76th overall out of Ohio State.

Since joining the league in 2019, Howell will be the 10th starting quarterback the young wide receiver has played with. However, he has gotten 1,000 plus yards in every season he has been in the NFL.
