What an amazing week one of the NFL! With just one more game to finish off week one, let me give you some of my plays for the 9/11 game between the Jets and Bills on Monday Night Football.
Check out the latest episodes of the JCPod and Captain By A Hook for my full breakdowns. All odds are from Fanduel, DraftKings, and BetMGM.
Straights
Jets Moneyline
For Monday night on 9/11 in Week One, I’m going to ride the hype train. The Bills did not play too well in the final playoff game last year, and the roster is still rather the same. Also not having Von Miller for a few more weeks will hurt, even with a super deep pash rush. I like the way the Jets defense looks this year, and I’m very excited for the Aaron Rodgers to Garrett Wilson connection. I like the first matchup of this division game to go to the Jets.
When it comes to this game, I see the Jets starting off the year strong before they begin their tough schedule ahead. Give me the Jets at home on the moneyline, but I will be on the spread as well. Regardless, this should be a fun and exciting Monday Night Football matchup.
Player Props
Dalvin Cook over 11.5 receiving yards (-115)
When it comes to running backs, I love when they have a low receiving total. Both Cook and Breece Hall have about the same number about the same odds. I am going to ride Dalvin Cook in this game. With Hall coming off injury, I am not sure on how many plays we will see him in the game. The same could go for Dalvin Cook, as if Hall is healthier than expected, then maybe he will take a few snaps. Regardless, with the talent Cook has, he could get his over in as little as two receptions. Aaron Rodgers likes to use the running backs, and I see Cook hitting this over tonight.
Rodgers over 1.5 pass TD (+108)
When it comes to the game tonight, I am very excited to see how the offenses play. I see this game finishing in about the 20s for each team, like 27-24 for example. With that being said, I like Rodgers to throw over 1.5 passing touchdowns . I am a bit scared of the goal line situation and how the passing game is. Regardless though, I feel good about this number and the odds.
After the way last season ended and no Von Miller, I am not too sure on how I view this Bills defense coming into the year. I am going to ride the over for this, and I look for Aaron Rodgers to have at least one passing touchdown each half.
Garrett Wilson anytime TD (+155)
The connection between Garrett Wilson and Aaron Rodgers is drawing comparison to that of Davante Adams and Rodgers with the Green Bay Packers. Rodgers also came out on Hard Knocks and called Wilson “special.” These two look to have an amazing connection all year, and I see it getting into the endzone early. Give me Wilson to score a touchdown in this Monday Night Football showdown.
Parnell’s Nasty Boy Parlay of the Day
The NFL was good to me this weekend. Finishing the weekend 4-4 in straights and 0-2 in props, it was a so-so day after a great College Football weekend. When it comes to the nasty boy, we were able to get pretty nasty this weekend. While we are 0-1 in the NFL, I was able to score a college hit, bringing us to 1-1 in College Football.
For this Monday Night Football action, we got a +2329 nasty boy:
- Wilson TD (+155)
- Wilson over 69.5 rec yards (-110)
- Dalton Kincaid TD (+380)
- Jets +3.5 alt spread (-162)
I like the Bills to get their new face at tight end a score early. I also like Garrett Wilson to have a really good game tonight. The Jets +3.5 I bought a point and a hook, but I do not see the Jets losing by more than three tonight. Let’s finish off the first week of the NFL strong with some Monday Night Football.
