Oh man, it’s crazy to think that there’s only two weeks left in the regular season. Going into Week 17, I look to continue what has been a pretty strong season betting, and enjoy the last few weeks before the offseason. Here are my plays for the NFL Week 17 slate.
Check out the latest episodes of the JCPod and Captain By A Hook for my full breakdowns. All odds are a mix/the best number from FanDuel, DraftKings, and BetMGM.
Straights
Rams -6 (-105)
The Rams could potentially win this game by a big amount. The Giants have had a season from hell, and now Tyrod Taylor will be the starter in this game. The Rams have been clicking on all cylinders offensively, and the defense has been able to get a few stops when they need them most. I look for the Rams to score a lot in this game, and to win by more than a touchdown.
Buccaneers -2.5 (-110)
Based on what these two teams have done lately, I like a lot more what I’ve seen out of the Bucs than the Saints. The Bucs have a chance to win here and clinch a division title. To keep their hopes alive, the Saints must win this game. I trust Baker Mayfield more than I trust Derek Carr. The Bucs are at home as well, so I look for them to win at home and clinch a division title, giving them a home playoff game.
Falcons +3 (-115)
This is probably the bet that not only makes me the most nervous but will probably burn me. Both of these teams have had a wild season, with the rollercoaster having some real highs and low lows. I look for the Falcons to at least cover a field goal. The Bears were liable to lose to the Cardinals last week, but managed to pull it out in the fourth. If the Bears come out like that again in the second half, Taylor Heinicke and the Falcons may be able to get it done.
JCProps
CeeDee Lamb anytime TD (-155)
I am going to give this bet out, but I am going to wait to get some better odds when it’s live. CeeDee Lamb has scored seven games in a row with that being said, I get why it’s so juiced. Due to that, I will be waiting for better odds, but don’t mind him at all if you feel safer with -155. By the time this article comes out (sorry for the late night drop) he scored on a 92 yard BOMB and I got -120. The NBA Jam continues. He has scored 8 weeks in a row.
Jahmyr Gibbs anytime TD (+110)
Gibbs has been coming into form as the season has gone on. The Lions have used Gibbs more and more every week. I look for him to find the endzone again this week, as the Cowboys have been getting beat up on the ground lately.
Mike Evans anytime TD (+120)
Mike Evans and Baker Mayfield have been a good connection this year. He has scored in a lot of games this year, and I look for him to do it again in Week 17. He has been a well for me, and I’m lookin for a bit more water.
Rachaad White anytime TD (-160)
White is on an NBA Jam and has scored now in 4 weeks in a row. I look for him to find the endzone again, but I will wait to get some better odds live. I still like him to score however.
