Oh man! It’s already the last week of the season. This season truly did fly by and it’s been a real fun one. Going into Week 18, we looked to have some fun on what will be the last regular season week of the season. I will save the NBA Jams for next week, as there are a lot of teams who will be sitting players or not playing them for full games.
Check out the latest episodes of the JCPod and Captain By A Hook for my full breakdowns. All odds are a mix/the best number from FanDuel, DraftKings, and BetMGM.
Straights
Colts moneyline (+100)
This is one of the biggest games of the weekend. The winner could potentially either be the AFC South champion, or at minimum be getting into the playoffs. This is a huge game for both teams, and I look for the Colts to prevail. Jonathan Taylor in his five games against the Texans has been shredding them. He’s averaging 124 yards on the ground and a touchdown per game. I look for something similar to happen again here, and Gardner Minshew to be able to add onto it. CJ Stroud and the Texans have been pretty good this season so it makes me nervous, but I feel like the Colts will be able to get this done at home.
Titans +4.5 (-110)
I am going to take the points here, especially after watching Mike, Vrabel’s press conference. I feel like he will get the boys fired up and ready to play. The Titans have nothing to play for, while the Jaguars have everything to play for. I’ll look for the Titans to at least keep this game close and within a field goal. They have a chance here to ruin someone’s season. I look for Vrabel to get the boys motivated to try and ruin the Jaguars season here in Week 18.
Buccaneers -4 (-110)
All the Buccaneers have to do is win this game, and they win the NFC South and host a home playoff game. The Panthers do play a lot better at home, and especially Bryce Young performs better at home. If the Buccaneers are going to win, I look for them to win by over a touchdown. The closer this game gets towards the end of it, the more of the chance the Panthers have to steal it. I look for the Buccaneers to get out ahead early and will be able to finish it strong and cover. Last time these two teams played it was a 21-18 win for the Bucs.
Vikings +3.5 (-110)
The Vikings kept it close last time these two teams played, and potentially even had a chance to win it. It came down to the final possession, and they just fell up short. Coming into this game, I look for the Vikings to at least keep a close again. The Lions will most likely be sitting some of their people, so I look for the Vikings to keep this game within a field goal. The Vikings are starting Nick Mullins again, so this game should go a little bit more smoothly in the beginning than it did last week.
Raiders -2.5 (-125)
The Raiders are playing for their head coach Antoni Pierce to keep his job going into next season here, and I look for them to win one more game and to finish out the season strong. The Broncos and Raiders don’t really have much more to play for, but both are playing towards next season. I look for the Raiders to be a little bit more motivated in the spot here, and for them to be able to pull out the win in Week 18
JCProps
Deandre Hopkins over 7+ receptions (no odds yet)
DeAndre Hopkins needs just 7 receptions to hit his incentives. I look for him to be heavily involved in the offense as they look to take on the Jaguars and ruin their season.
Jonathan Taylor over 100+ rush (+280) & anytime TD (-140)
Jonathan Taylor has been a Texan killer in his career. He is averaging 124 on the ground and one touchdown per game against them. I look for him to do it again, as the Colts really will need it if they want to beat the Texans.
James Conner anytime TD (-110)
James Conner was a machine on the ground last week, and I look for him to do it again. The Seahawks front is not nearly as tough as the Eagles. If the Cardinals can run all over the Eagles, they potentially could do it here as well.
Justin Jefferson anytime TD (+100)
In a game where they will need it, I look for Justin Jefferson, score. He and Nick Mullins have a pretty decent connection, so I look for them to be able to make a touchdown happen.
Mike Evans anytime TD (+105)
Mike Evans has been a scoring machine this year. For the Buccaneers to win, I look for Mike Evans be involved. He scored last time these two played and I look for him to do it again.
CeeDee lamb TD (-165)
He will need to score the touchdown quick, as I don’t think the Cowboys will be playing their players for more than three quarters. I look for the Cowboys to win big here and CeeDee Lamb should be a part of it. He is also on an NBA Jam, as he scored for Two months in a row now.
Parnell’s Nasty Boy Parlay Play of the Day
For the Week 18, and final, nasty boy of the regular season, we look to get back to our roots a little bit. We will be taking four touchdown scorers, and lookin to get nasty. I was able to get odds of +1395:
- Derrick Henry anytime TD (-135)
- Khalil Herbert anytime TD (+150)
- James Conner anytime TD (-110)
- Josh Allen anytime TD (-125)
