The Denver Broncos have agreed to a extension and are signing defensive lineman Zach Allen to a four-year, $102-million dollar deal with $69.5 million guaranteed. This comes from Adam Schefter.

The deal comes following Allen joining the Broncos on a three-year contract in March 2023. Zach Allen was set to be entering the final year of his deal this season. He is also coming off a breakout season in which he earned second team All-Pro honors. The 27-year-old racked up career highs in tackles (61), tackles for loss (15), quarterback hits (40), and sacks (8.5) last season. He also has 50 pass rush wins when lined up at defensive tackle, which led the league last year (this stat is according to Evan Kaplan of ESPN).

Allen spent the first four seasons of his career with the Arizona Cardinals after they selected him in the third round of the 2019 draft. He has 259 tackles and 25 sacks in 78 career contests. He also spent a year or two learning under JJ Watt during Watts time at the Cardinals, which is probably one of the many reasons Allen has gotten slightly better each season.

The signing of Zach Allen is a big one. With the Broncos looking to be one of the top, if not the best, defenses in the NFL, keeping the guys who helped contribute most is a huge step forward.
