Now with week three past, the new AP Poll is out. Here are the winners and losers from the last week of college action.

Winners

1. Oregon 

Oregon was one of the higher movers this week, moving up 3 spots in the AP Poll. They have looked really impressive to start the season, and look to be a contender this year. They have a huge game upcoming this week, taking on Colorado. Being 20.5 point favorites, I am very excited to evaluate both of these teams after the game and see where they stand. 

2. Florida 

This was  a huge win for Florida. Winning now 18 of the last 20 against Tennessee, Florida controlled the game from the jump basically. They had a 62 yard touchdown run by Trevor Etienne, and past that they just controlled the game. Florida’s coach was on a super hot seat, and this game might have cooled it off some. Florida gets their season back on track with this win, and now find themselves as a ranked team. 

3. Iowa 

Iowa wins by being one of the teams to hang onto a top 25 spot in the AP Poll. They didn’t do anything to lose this week, but other teams around them have begun to impress a bit more. With the offense still having a few questions with Cade McNamara at QB, I’m still not sure how to evaluate this team. I will look to watch and see if the offense steps up in the coming weeks. 

Losers

1. Tennessee 

The Volunteers just had a very rough game against Florida. They have not won in Gainesville since 2003, and now have dropped a whopping 17 of 19 in the series. They  were flagged for five false starts and had to burn two timeouts early in the second half to avoid delay-of-game penalties. Florida did not have a lot of big plays, but they just controlled the game pretty much from the start. The Vols dropped 12 spots in the rankings, and just hung onto a top 25 spot. 

2. Alabama 

It feels like I’ve put Alabama on this list every week, but every week there seems to be new drama. They did not start Jalen Milroe this week, and the offense was not too good with the other two options. Barely beating USF, there are now a lot of questions surrounding Alabama. They are still a good team, but there need to be answers to what’s going on at QB. Alabama is still in contention for the CFP, but they need to improve and most likely win out. Next week will be a big ranked game against Ole Miss.  

3. Kansas State 

Missouri had its biggest win under Eliah Drinkwitz era against Kansas State Saturday. This was Kansas State’s first test against a more talented team than the first two they played. This team still has potential to be a bowl team and a top 25 team, but this loss truly hurts. With Missouri now 3-0, we could see them sneak into the rankings here soon. As for Kansas State, they look to bounce back against UCF at home.
