Thursday Night Football in Week Nine gives us a game that will now be played with a third string quarterback. With no Lamar Jackson or Snoop Huntley, Thursday Night Football will see the Jacksonville Jaguars on the road to take on Joe Fagnano and the Baltimore Ravens.

Here are my plays for Thursday Night Football in Week Nine.

Straights

Jaguars -9.5 (-120)

The fact that the Ravens are starting their third string quarterback makes me just want to take this bet off of that alone. To go along with that though, the Jaguars might be the best team if not at least a top five team in the NFL as of right now. Plus, it just also feels like those two teams are going in completely different directions. The Ravens are hanging onto their season by thread, while the Jaguars are looking to be a top two or three seed in the AFC playoff race.

This is a really big number to cover, but I think the Jaguars will be able to get this done. This will be a game that I believe will be close to start out, then the Jaguars will pull away as a game goes on. I will love them to cover this number even more if the Jaguars are able to get Bhayshul Tuten to play, but he has yet to practice this week before the game.

Player Props

Bhayshul Tuten OR Chris Rodriguez over rushing yards

Tuten has been emerging as the guy for the Jacksonville Jaguars, and he has proved that he might just be the best second year back in the league right now. Due to the injury at the quarterback position for the Ravens, this is another game where the script could see the Jaguars running the ball a lot more.

The big issue with this bet is Tuten hasn’t practiced at all, and there are no clear indications of if he will play or not. If he doesn’t play, then I’ll like Chris Rodriguez hit his over. I believe that this game will be a pretty good game for whatever running back ends up starting.

Parker Washington over 63.5 receiving yards (-114)

Parker Washington had a very quiet week last week, and that was not totally his fault. The game script made it to where the Jaguars basically put the game away before halftime. While the same thing could happen again this week, I do expect for Parker Washington to get a bit more involved than he was last week.

Justice Hill over 13.5 receiving yards (-114)

When it comes to choosing a Ravens player prop to bet on, it was really hard to find someone when you don’t really know who Fagnano likes to go to. I was debating Zay Flowers, but he is a hard guy to trust as of right now. Because of that, this made me think of taking Justice Hill in hopes of some check downs or dump offs. Hill had three receptions for around 15 yards last game, and I will be looking for similar production again here in this game.

As for anytime touchdown scorers, I like: Bhayshul Tuten or Chris Rodriguez (-105 for both), Jakobi Meyers (+330), Parker Washington (+140), & finally one Ravens longshot in Justice Hill (+500). I don’t mind Zay Flowers but will not be giving him out.

Parnell’s Nasty Boy Parlay Play of the Day

Injuries to the Jacksonville running back room easily just took away a leg for this upcoming Thursday Night Nasty Boy. With no lines on the running backs, we will have to maybe pivot for that leg. The odds are currently the same for both Rodriguez and Tuten, so I will give out Rodriguez assuming he is starting. If Tuten starts, I’ll bet the same play but swap out Rodriguez anytime for Tuten anytime.

I was able to get odds of +1094 boosted to +1422 with a 30% boost:

  • Justice Hill over 13.5 receiving yards (-114)
  • Brenton Strange over 35.5 receiving yards (-114)
  • Ja’Kobi Lane over 15.5 receiving yards (-114)
  • Chris Rodriguez anytime touchdown (-105)

Let’s have a DAY! PLEASE GAMBLE RESPONSIBLY!
