CBB Power Rankings – 11/12/2024
This article is going to be exactly what it sounds like from the title. Every Tuesday I will release my top 10 college basketball teams in the country according to my power rankings.
My rankings unlike the Ap and Coaches polls are based on two completely separate things. I focus more on gambling and the tournament. For example, the best record, or run does not phase me. Things like the chemistry and rebounding will tell me more about how deep a team will go in March.
Which is what I focus this weekly power rankings on. How good are you against the spread? How deep do I think you can go in March?

- Kentucky
- Kansas
- Auburn
- Duke
- Gonzaga
- Houston
- Iowa State
- Alabama
- Arizona
The first weeks power rankings always feel the fishiest. Everybody thinks their team is the best and mostly, these guys haven’t played enough basketball to prove anything.
Keeping UConn at number 1 even though they have only played two cake games makes sense to me for two reasons. Back to back titles, and both games they have played they have covered as 30+ point favorites. We all know the saying, Good teams win, great teams cover.
Kentucky in my eyes is clearly head and shoulders above 90% of the league. Also, in my opinion has the best offense maybe ever. With veteran guys, and a solid defense the sky is the limit for Kentucky who is right now my second favorite to win it all behind UConn.
Then things get a little blurry, Kansas played a huge game against UNC, barely holding on to win after blowing a 20 point lead in the second half. I still have some questions for this Jayhawks team however they earned this spot as of now.
Again it is too early to truly tell, and you can probably take the rest of the teams on this list, add another 10 teams and pick them at random. Nobody has earned anything in concrete, yet.
