If week 0 was fun, then week 1 was an amusement park with no lines and free churros fun. Now we look ahead to week 2 with a slight grin knowing that this is also the first week of NFL football.
Yet, nothing beats college baby. The 30-40 point spreads and the over/unders into the 60’s, can’t forget about the disrespectful underdog money lines that seem to hit at least once a week.
This is a list of my favorite six college football games to bet in week 2, lines might move so be aware.
First and Second Bet: Underdog Money Line & Over (No Parlays)
Texas State has an elite offense, which was on display Saturday against Baylor. Texas State beat Baylor while being 27.5 point dogs. The over in the game hit as well, it was a beautiful moment in my household. Holding on to two money line tickets on that game.
One week later, a weaker opponent, and the Texas State team still dogs. Only 12.5 this time, and the money line is around +350. I am going to choke this snake until it bites me this season, and then probably try and choke it some more after that.
I will have two bets on this game come Saturday. I already have the money line at +330 and will double down on it at the last second to get the best number as it has already moved to 360. I am also on the over, as I see this elite Texas State offense dominating this game.
Give me the money line and the over, two separate bets as Texas State wins 56-23. (Texas State ML +350) (Texas State/UTSA O 64.5)
NCAAF Bets: Totals
Third Bet: Orangemen Over
The Orangemen of Syracuse will be taking on Western Michigan this weekend. Both of these teams moved the ball efficient and a lot in their first game last weekend. Both teams recording over 500 yards of offense.
Western Michigan also has one of the fastest offense as far as tempo goes if week one stats are accurate. This team will be snapping the ball as fast as possible and looking to exploit the defense once they are tired.
I look for both teams to be aggressive in scoring the ball and will be on the over as Orange win 41-31. (Syracuse/W Michigan O 55.5 -110)
Fourth Bet: Utah/Baylor Total
Both of these teams rely on running the ball to get the offense going, which scares me a little bit on this total. However, the more and more I ran numbers and stared off into the abyss, the more I just thought the number here was way too low.
I am talking like a touchdown too low. I have this number at closer to 54-55 than the number it is at sub 50. I think both of these teams will hit the 24 mark and it will come down to the fourth quarter for the over.
Give me Utah winning a close one 34-27 and the over hitting with ease. (Utah/Baylor O 47.5)
NCAAF Bets: Sides
Fifth Bet: The Fighting Irish
Notre Dame has looked elite this season through their first two games. It is way too early to tell, yet I see this team on fence come Christmas time as a playoff team.
This week will be their first real test, if you can even call it that. Taking on the Wolfpack of North Carolina State. The Fighting Irish are favored by a touchdown currently, yet I have this game being a double digit victory for the gold helmets.
Give me the Irish by double digits 38-13, I am laying the points. (Notre Dame -7 -118)
Sixth Bet: Ole Mississippi
I had Tulane, The Green Wave, last week by a lot. Which ended up coming true against South Alabama. This week The Green Wave will roll into an Ole Miss team that is starving for national attention.
After winning last week 73-7, they will be looking to continue that kind of roll. I do not think it will be a 65 point victory, however I do believe it will be closer to 25 than to the spread on this game.
Ole Miss is currently -7 against Tulane this week, my number here is around 20-21. I think this game will get ugly early and never look back. Ole Miss wins 52-21.
As my best bet of week two. (Ole Miss -7 -118)
NCAAF Bets: Recap
Texas State ML +350
Texas State/UTSA O 64.5 -110
W Michigan/Syracuse O 55.5 -110
Utah/Baylor O 47.5 -110
Notre Dame -7 -118
Ole Miss -7 -118
