The New England Patriots have signed wide receiver Romeo Doubs to a four-year, $70-million contract, sources told Ian Rapoport.
Romeo Doubs had spent four seasons with the Green Bay Packers from 2022-25 before this trade. Doubs averaged a career-high 13.2 yards per catch and 724 receiving yards in 2025. He also caught eight passes for 124 yards and a touchdown in the Packers’ wild-card game loss to the Chicago Bears.
Romeo Doubs has recorded at least 42 receptions in each of his first four NFL seasons. He also added on at least up to 600 yards in each season dating back to 2023.
The Patriots fill a need at wide receiver after parting ways with Stefon Diggs. Doubs is joining a receiving corps that includes Kayshon Boutte (who’s future is in doubt), DeMario Douglas, and Mack Hollins. This move was made before the AJ Brown trade, which now adds even more firepower to the offense for Drake Maye.
Doubs considered competing offers from the Commanders and Patriots before ultimately choosing New England, reports ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.
The Patriots also agreed to terms on a contract with offensive lineman Alijah Vera-Tucker this offseason to help bolster the offensive line.
