The Indianapolis Colts have re-signed wide receiver Alec Pierce to a four-year, $114-million deal, according to Adam Schefter.
Pierce was widely considered one of the best free-agent wideouts out in the market after recording career highs in targets (84), receptions (47), and receiving yards (1,003) in 2025. The Colts making it clear they would keep Daniel Jones is one of the main reason for Pierce wanting to say
The new $29 million annual average salary puts him among the top 10 highest-paid wide receivers in the league, according to Over The Cap. Pierce, who’s led the NFL in yards per reception in back-to-back seasons now, has emerged as one of the best deep-threat targets in the league.
The Colts started last season 8-2 and became the number one overall seed by that point in the season, Ultimately though, the Colts would end up missing the playoffs after losing their final seven games to end the season. The second the team lost Jones to a torn Achilles injury in early December against the Jacksonville Jaguars, their season became derailed and nothing seemed to go right afterwards.
Indianapolis entered the offseason hoping to retain both Pierce and quarterback Daniel Jones, which they were able to do. With the Colts losing Michael Pittman via trade, this is going be a big season for Alec Pierce and a great chance for him to take that next step.
