The Green Bay Packers agreed to terms on a three-year contract extension with wide receiver Jayden Reed, his agents told Adam Schefter. The extension is worth $50.25 million in new money, with $20 million guaranteed.
Originally a second-round pick in 2023, Reed had one year left on his rookie contract. The 25-year-old had two really promising seasons in his first two years with Green Bay, catching 119 passes for 1,650 yards and 14 touchdowns in 33 appearances. However, injuries had limited Reed to 19 receptions in only seven games played last season.
Jayden Reed headlines a Packers wide receiver room that also includes Christian Watson (who also recently got a massive extension) and Matthew Golden.
Another big receiving option is Tucker Kraft, who should be back within the first four weeks. That will be a massive help to the Packers. While it’s no guarantee, you have to wonder if the Packers will make one more receiving move before the season starts.
Either way, the Packers will be looking to use Reed as they try and make their way to a deep playoff push.
