Another big signing for the Ducks. Oregon made a splash Monday by landing the commitment of former five-star quarterback Dante Moore.
Moore played his freshman season at UCLA in 2023 but entered the transfer portal on Nov. 30. The Ducks have now landed two high-profile passers this month in Moore and former Oklahoma quarterback Dillon Gabriel. As of now it is not clear who would start, but my best guess is it would be Gabriel.
Senior Bo Nix – Oregon’s starting quarterback in 2023 – is expected to declare for the 2024 NFL Draft.
One of the top quarterbacks available in the transfer portal this year, Moore posted a 53.5% pass completion rate to go along with 1,610 yards and 11 touchdowns against nine interceptions while making five starts.
Moore originally committed to the Ducks in July 2022. However, he joined UCLA instead in December of that year after former Oregon offensive coordinator Kenny Dillingham was named head coach at Arizona State.
Oregon’s offense was high flying and scored so many points this year. With both of these two joining the team, the Ducks look to repeat that success from this year into next year.
