The entire world was falling a little over a week ago when Kansas fell to West Virginia, losing 3 out of their last 5 at the time. Since that game, the Jayhawks have been on a mission and on fire. Beating UCF 99-48 and then last night beating Arizona State 74-55.
It is safe to say Kansas is still a top team in this league and have found their footing. Every team no matter how great needs a wake up call and that is exactly what Creighton, Missouri, and West Virginia gave them.
Hunter Dickinson is finally playing to his potential, scoring 27 points with 9 rebounds against UCF. Then backing that performance up with a 15 point, 12 rebound double-double.
Kansas has shot the ball exceptionally well in these last two games also, shooting north of 43% in both wins.
Zeke Mayo would be the high point man against Arizona State scoring 23 points to go along with his 5 rebounds.
Even with Dajuan Harris Jr and KJ Adams Jr both struggling from the field, Kansas has been dominant. It is truly scary what this team is capable of once the finally get all engines roaring.
AJ Storr and Rylan Griffen both have 20 point potential and are both finding their spots in this lineup. Griffen scored 14 points in 18 minutes against UCF. Storr still looking for consistent minutes did tally 11 points in 15 minutes against UCF, however the Wisconsin transfer only played 4 minutes against Arizona State.
Something fishy going on there behind the scenes if you ask me. Yet, I have zero information outside of assuming from a distance. If Storr and Griffen can provide valuable minutes while the combo of Adams Jr, Harris Jr, Mayo, and Dickinson start clicking nobody will want to run into this Kansas Basketball team come March.
