Man, the New York Jets are winning the Super Bowl aren’t they? After Ezekiel Elliot was just scooped up by the Patriots a few hours ago, the Jets look to boost their running back room. The New York Jets have signed Dalvin Cook to a one year deal up to 8.6 million dollars.
This is a huge addition for the Jets. With Breece Hall coming back from injury, Dalvin Cook and he could become a huge one two punch for the offense. Hall had 861 scrimmage yards and five touchdowns through seven games before he tore his ACL. Israel Abanikanda has been carving a role for himself as well, so the Jets truly could have three stallions in the backfield.
Cook has earned 1100 yards over the last four seasons, as well as four consecutive pro bowls. I have no idea why the Vikings decided to move on from Cook, but Cook will be a huge piece for the Jets. Adding another explosive running back, especially with Hall being uncertain for week one, this will be huge for the offense.
The Jets are looking to make the playoffs for the first time since 2010. They have gone all in this offseason, signing key pieces and huge names like Aaron Rodgers. Dalvin Cook is just another huge piece this offense could use as the Jets look to end their season with hoisting up the Lombardi trophy.
