NFL Week Nine continues this Sunday, and there seems to be a few fishy lines out there. From division battles to teams that’s desperately need wins, there is action everywhere in the NFL.

Here are my plays for the NFL Week Nine slate.

Check out the latest episodes of the JCPod and Captain By A Hook for my full breakdowns. All odds are a mix/the best number from FanDuel, DraftKings, and BetMGM.

Straights

Bills -5.5 (-120)

Tua is 1-7 vs the Bills. The Dolphins already lost in the first game this season and I don’t see them winning here. After they blew that game last week against the Cardinals, I just can’t get myself to back them here. The Bills have been one of the best teams in football this season as well.

Saints -7 (-110)

This is a simple fade of the Carolina Panthers. Now that Derek is back in, I expect for the Saints to do similar to what they did last time and blow out the Panthers.

Patriots +3.5 (-125)

Now that Drake Maye is confirmed to play, I just like for the Patriots keep this within a field goal. Both these teams are bad so I love that I’m able to get the hook here.

Colts +5.5 (-110)

One of my biggest reasons for taking the Colts is I feel as if this number should be 3.5 instead of 5.5 points. The Colts have been sneaky good in a lot of games and should be able to keep it close that with Joe Flacco playing. The Colts are also the best covering team in the NFL.

Last time Joe Flacco played the blitz it didn’t go very well. How he handles it this time will decide if the Colts are able to keep this game close or not.

Lions -2.5 (-115)

The only thing that scares me is this is the first game for the Lions outdoors. Jared Goff is really good at dome while outdoors is a bit of a step down. However, I look for the Lions run to lean on the run game and to be able to come away with a victory of more than three points.

Commanders -3.5 (-115)

Last time these two played the offense for the Commanders just could not get into the end zone. Assuming the Commanders were able to get some of that fixed for this game, I like for them to win this game by more than a touchdown.

Props

Jahmyr Gibbs over 63.5 rush yards (-110)

Gibbs has hit his rushing over the last few games ,now putting him on a NBA Jam. You know how we roll

Jakobi Meyer’s over 54.5 receiving yards (-113)

In the receiving game, I expect Brock Bowers and Jakobi Meyers to be the main targets. The Bengals defense has been shaky at points this year. I like the chances of Myers to get around five to six receptions, which should help him reach this over.

Ja’Marr Chase over 6.5 receptions (-128)

I see Ja’Marr Chase getting minimum seven receptions in this game, especially with the Higgins out.

Derek Carr over 1.5 pass touchdowns (-106)

I expect for those Saints offense to go off with their Carr back, leading to him throwing for more than two touchdowns

Joe Flacco over 1.5 pass touchdowns (+125)

Assuming Joe Flacco is able to handle the blitz, I don’t see how he doesn’t throw for at least two touchdowns.

Anytime touchdown scorers

AJ Brown (+120)

Saquon Barkley (-185)

Jalen Hurts (-110)

Derrick Henry (-240)

Alvin Kamara (-195)

James Cook (-120) or Josh Allen (+100)

Jahmyr Gibbs (-115)

David Montgomery (-120)

Kyren Williams (-190)

Jonathan Taylor (-105)

Michael Pittman (+210)

Josh Downs (+195)

Justin Jefferson (-115)
