Week 5 of the NFL is upon us! We got an early morning London game, some teams on bye, and some division battles. It’s about to be a chaos filled day!

Here are my plays for the Sunday NFL Week 5 slate.

Check out the latest episodes of the JCPod and Captain By A Hook for my full breakdowns. All odds are a mix/the best number from FanDuel, DraftKings, and BetMGM.

Straights

Seahawks -6.5 (-110)

I’ll look for the Seahawks to win by about 10 in this game. With no Malik Nabers, the Giants are really gonna struggle on offense. Meanwhile, the Seahawks are coming out a strong offensive showing. I look for them to keep it rolling and like said before, win this game about 10.

Colts +3 (-110)

This is disgusting, but the Colts haven’t won in Jacksonville since 2014. Anthony Richardson is out however, so look for the passing game to be a bit better. I’ll look for Josh Downs to have a big game as well as either Michael Pittman or Adonai Mitchell.

The Jaguars haven’t won a game in their past 10 to 13 games dating back to last year. Between that and the Colts losing streak, one of these has to give. I look for Joe Flacco to be able to lead the Colts into Jacksonville and get a much needed win for Indianapolis.

Steelers -2.5 (-110)

The Cowboys weakness has been the run game this season. In this game where one of the Steelers strength this controlling the ball and running it, I look for the Steelers to be able to take command to this game. I will not be shocked if the Cowboys come out early and take a lead. However, I look for the Steelers to do similar to what they did last week against the Colts. They might come out slow, but I look for them to slowly come back and then by the end, end up winning it by a field goal.

Texans +1.5 (-112)

In this game, I feel as if I need to take the Texans here. Joe Mixon not playing kind of does scare me, but I feel as if the Texans might be able to get a bit better on offense this game. The Bills defense has been very suspect as of the last few weeks, so this is a good game for the Texans to get right.

This will be a battle between Josh Allen and CJ Stroud. I will not be shocked if the Bills win, but I’m gonna be taking the home team in this game.
