Monday gives us a double header that should be full of excitement! We have the Tampa Bay Buccaneers traveling to take on the Houston Texans for the first game. As for later game (which us eastern time folks are not too happy about due to the time), we have the Los Angeles Chargers traveling to Las Vegas to take on the Raiders.
Here are my plays for the Monday Night Football Week Two double header.
Straights
Buccaneers +2.5 (-108)
This should be a fun battle between two teams with really good defenses and really talented offenses. The main reason that I am going to be taking the Buccaneers is because of the Houston Texans offensive line. They seem to be a bit of a step up from last year, but not enough to be super effective. If that is the case, I like for Todd Bowles and the Buccaneers defense to be able to take advantage, getting enough stops to help them pull out the win. Just to be safe, we will take the points. (Just like the Colts game Sunday, I’m taking money line but giving out the points)
I also kind of like Raiders mainly for the 3.5 number, but it’s only Week Two of the season so no need to force it.
Player Props
Baker Mayfield over 1.5 pass touchdowns (+120)
I have the feeling this will be a 24-21 range of score type game. With that being the case, I do like for Baker Mayfield to find the endzone passing twice. I am of a bit scared of the Texans defense, but I do think the Buccaneers can do just enough.
Mike Evans over 66.5 receiving yards (-112)
I like for Mike Evans to bounce back in this game. Puca Nacua went off against the Texans last week, so that gives me hope that Mike Evans could as well. I also like that this number is below 70 yards.
Jayden Higgins over 23.5 receiving yards (-112)
This number just seems a bit too low. While he did not do too much last week, I fully expect that to change this week. With how good the Bucs defense is, the Texans will need all hands on deck in the passing game.
Tyler Conklin over 13.5 receiving yards (-112)
I am taking this number based on how the Raiders played the tight end last week. They gave up a couple of passes to that position, so 2-3+ receptions should get the job done here.
Keenan Allen over 53.5 receiving yards (-112)
If I can get this number under 60 yards, this might be another auto bet for me. The chemistry seems to still be great between Allen and Justin Herbert, so I like that this number is this low.
Justin Herbert over 17.5 rush yards (-112)
Watching Herbert against the Chiefs was truly a beautiful sight for the eyes. He truly played the full game using all of his tools, and even use his legs a good amount as well. If he continues to run like that, this total is gonna end up being too low.
Parnell’s Nasty Boy Parlay Play of the Day
Derrick Henry only having 24 rush, yards killed our Nasty Boy, as every other leg hit. For the doubleheader of NFL Monday Night Football, I will just be combining some props I am taking
I was able to get odds of +968 boosted to +1258
- Mike Evans over 66.5 receiving yards (-112)
- Tyler Conklin over 13.5 receiving yards (-112)
- Jayden Higgins over 23.5 receiving yards (-112)
- Keenan Allen over 53.5 receiving yards (-112)
Let’s have a DAY! PLEASE GAMBLE RESPONSIBLY
