Back at it for College Football Week Three on this beautiful weekend. It is wild to think we will be 25% through the regular season after the Week Three Slate. There are some big games this weekend as we slowly begin conference play.
Here are my leans and bets for Week Three in College Football.
Straights
Saturday
Notre Dame -29.5 (110)
Like I said last week, I will probably be taking and giving out Notre Dame to cover all of these big spreads until they don’t do it in one of these games. While Michigan State could flirt with keeping this close, I expect for Notre Dame to be able to pull away late.
Lsu moneyline (-145)
While I am a but nervous about the Sam Leavitt injury situation, Lane Kiffin has been known to mess with the injury report. Assuming he is healthy, I like for LSU to get a big road win here. I’m also very scared of the backfield combo Ole Miss has in Kewan Lacy and Trinidad Chambliss. It’s really hard to bet against Trinidad.
This should be a great buildup and a fun game. If Leavitt doesn’t play, I will not be betting this game.
Mississippi State +4.5 (-122)
Kamario Taylor seems like he will be a guy this season. After that game I saw in Minnesota, it’s really hard not to take him and his team to cover the 3.5 points here. While South Carolina does have some talent, I do feel as if there is a good chance Mississippi State could win this game outright. I like for Taylor and the Bulldog offense to score enough to keep this with a field goal.
North Dakota State -25.5 (-125)
North Dakota has covered for us all season so far and has been the cash cow that keeps giving out blessings. They have another match up here where they should be in a position to win big, so I expect them to do exactly just that. Sacramento State is coming off a huge 49-3 loss. My only fear of this bet will be the backdoor, but I do not think that will be an issue in this game.
Purdue +15.5 (-125)
This number just feels a tad too big. Purdue can score on offense, so they have the ability to keep it within two scores. One thing I am scared of the Purdue defense getting no stops, and putting the Purdue offense too far behind.
One bet I love that I’m a tad indifferent on is Virginia Tech -2.5 points (-125). I like for them to win this game, but this spread being so low has me scared as I expected it to be a tad bigger.

We have been really close in two of these weeks now, so we are on the right track. Let’s see if we can make some magic happen this weekend.
