We started with 12, and now we will finish with one. Monday gives us the College Football National Championship. THE Ohio State Buckeyes vs The Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Who will be the inaugural National Champion of the 12 team playoff??

Here are my plays for the College Football National Championship.

Straights

Notre Dame +8.5 (-105)

This is a bit of a homer pick, but I truly believe Notre Dame has a chance to win this game. I bet the money line however, I will be going out the points to be safe. This will need to be a full team effort, but Notre Dame has been doing that for the last few games in the playoffs. The key to Notre Dame winning will be keeping this total low, getting a few turnovers (potentially even a defensive touchdown), and basically just making the game a lower scoring battle.

This all comes down to the Notre Dame offense. If Notre Dame can put up over 20+ points, I like them to cover, and their chances of winning go up with every score.

First half under 23.5 points (-115)

This first half under has been a great trend to play in the CFP. I forget the exact number, but I think this under has hit in almost every game but a few, but especially has hit when these two teams have played. In a game where both of these teams have great defenses, I like them to spend the first half trying to figure each other out.

Notre Dame team total over 17.5 points (-112)

If Notre Dame wants to win this game, they will have to score over 24 points in my opinion. With how good Ohio State is, I just don’t know if Notre Dame scoring under 20 will get the job done. I don’t mind Ohio State’s team total over a 27.5 points. However, if I see Notre Dame winning, they will have to hold Ohio State under that number, while scoring over 21+ themselves.

Props

Aneyas Williams over 7.5 rush yards (-114)

While he is the “third string” for Notre Dame, this number is a bit low for how often he comes in. Along with that and the fact Notre Dame has rotated backs, there is one major reason I’m taking this bet. On FanDuel, they offer this number with a small little tag that says (NO SGP) next to it. I find that beyond fishy, so I will be taking this over for Williams. (Has hit in four of the last five).

Riley Leonard over 0.5 pass touchdowns (-180)

Similar to the last game, I love that this number is under 1 total pass touchdowns. This number is horrible odds to bet solo however, so I did a two leg parlay of Leonard over 0.5 pass TD/Notre Dame +10.5 points at around +119 odds.

Riley Leonard over rush attempts 14.5 rush attempts (-102)

Sacks count as rush attempts. Due to that and the fact the Irish will need Leonard’s legs, I like playing the rush attempts over versus taking the yardage over.

Will Howard over 9.5 rush yards (-114)

With this being the last game of the season, I expect Howard’s leg to be a bigger factor in this game. My only fear is losing the rush yards on sacks.

Gee Scott over 17.5 receiving yards (-114)

Scott has been coming on strong these last few games for the Buckeyes. Between that and the Irish playing man coverage the second most in all of the country (behind Purdue), I like for Scott to hit this low total.

Mitch Jeter over 5.5 kicking points (-130)

Love this number if we think that the under will hit in the game. Along with that, all we need is two field goals.

Anytime touchdown scorers

Jeremiyah Love +145

Jeremiah Smith -135

Riley Leonard +145

Quinshon Judkins -105 or TreVeyon Henderson +100

Parnell’s Nasty Boy Parlay Play of the Day

This is our final Nasty Boy for the Collegiate year. It took us a good 14 weeks to hit our first one, and this year truly was just an example of combining the wrong bets together and also getting unlucky.

We could erase all of that however, if we end with a win here in the College Football National Championship. For I was able to get odds of +998 boosted to +1298:

  • Gee Scott over 17.5 receiving yards (-114)
  • Riley Leonard over 0.5 pass touchdowns (-180)
  • First half under 23.5 points (-115)
  • Notre Dame team total over 17.5 points (-112)

Let’s have a DAY! PLEASE GAMBLE RESPONSIBLY
