There is a saying in sports that good teams always find a way to win. In baseball, I believe great teams know when to start winning. The Houston Astros struggled out of the gate this season, yet, turned it on when it matters most.
Once June hit, the Astros got healthy and starting looking like the Astros we expected to see coming into the season. They went from third, even fourth in their division at times to back in the top spot.
Houston hit the Aaron Rodgers “Relax” to the fans and doubters who alike thought the reign of the Astros door was closing. That could not be farther from the truth.
This Astros team has an amazing core of players all still relatively young. When healthy this team can play with and beat anybody and will be a force you do not want to run into come October.
The beauty of this Astros team is that they are built on offense and bullpen arms. Which means usually if they have a lead going into the 7th inning, you can count on it being a win.
Their 6-1 victory of Tampa Bay Rays last night capped off a 6 game winning streak for the ‘Stros. Who in the middle of August are in peak form for the playoff push around the corner.
