Georgia Football Schedule

The last few season of college football have been dominated by the Georgia Bulldogs. They have earned everything that they received over the last two championship runs, where they won back to back championship titles.
That is part of the reason why it baffles me at the lack of competition on their schedule this season. The Bulldogs have by far one of the easiest SEC schedules I have ever seen. To top it off their four non conference games are even easier on paper.
The Bulldogs have the second longest active home winning streak in the sport and will look to become number one on that list this season.
Now I say on paper because as we know in sports, any thing can happen on any game. Yet the closest line posted by projections is the Tennessee game late in the season. The projections have Georgia as double digit favorites.
Georgia Football Schedule:
Still Gotta Play ’em, Still Gotta Win ’em
Georgia will start their season against Tennessee-Martin, Ball State, South Carolina, and UAB before getting to any real competition. I know South Carolina will come into the game thinking they have a shot, however, I expect that game to be over by halftime.
Now I am aware of the Oklahoma situation that happened with Georgia this season, yet that is just one game. (Due to conference realignment they canceled their home and home games because Oklahoma will be in the SEC next season).
The next four games after UAB at least have some SEC rivalries to go through. They will face Auburn, Kentucky, Vanderbilt, and Florida. All of which will be competitive at some point in the first quarter.
The more I look into the SEC this season for college football, I can not help but think has the SEC became a basketball conference?
The last four games of their season will be against Mizzou, Ole Miss, Tennessee, and Georgia Tech to close out the year.
No Bama or LSU?
The two teams who can give Georgia the best run for their money are of course Saban’s led Alabama and the new and improved LSU Tigers.
It appears as of now, August 14th, 2023, that the Georgia Bulldogs will be awaiting one of these two teams in the SEC Championship game.
Which will likely be their only true chance to be beaten, almost guaranteeing them a spot in the college football playoff and a chance to chase the elusive three peat.
One thing for sure, this season is Georgia’s to lose.
