It seems as if the hamstring injury for George Pickens maybe be a bit worse than originally thought.
Pickens is likely to miss a second straight game due to a hamstring injury, head coach Mike Tomlin told reporters Tuesday. The Pittsburgh Steelers play the Philadelphia Eagles in the afternoon window of games (4:25 eastern) on Sunday.
Pickens was a surprise on the injury report Friday last week, and ended up missing the first game in his career. There is still a chance he could play, but Tomlin said that is “very unlikely” and is best described as doubtful.
Pickens is in a career year, averaging a career-high 4 receptions and 71 yards per game. He has totaled 850 yards and three touchdowns on 55 catches as well. The Steelers will love to get him back and healthy.
The Steelers are 10-3 and have won seven of their last eight games. They control their own destiny in the AFC North ahead of the 8-5 Baltimore Ravens, who Pittsburgh plays in Week 16.
