The Pittsburgh Steelers are adding veteran cornerback Darius Slay on a one-year contract worth $10 million, according to Adam Schefter.

The full $10 million is guaranteed, Schefter reports. The Philadelphia Eagles officially released Slay when the new league year began Wednesday.

Slay had played for the Eagles since they traded multiple draft picks for him in 2020. He spent the previous seven years of his career with the Detroit Lions.

The 34-year-old started 14 games last year, having 13 passes defended while allowing 533 yards and four touchdowns in coverage, according to PFF. He also recorded five passes defended and one interception during the Eagles’ Super Bowl run.

Slay will likely slot in as a starting outside cornerback opposite Joey Porter Jr. The Steelers ranked 23rd in passing yards allowed in 2024.

Slay, a six-time Pro Bowler, has 160 passes defended and 28 interceptions in 177 career games.
