Former New York Jets and Baltimore Ravens linebacker C.J. Mosley is retiring after 10 seasons, he told Matt Zenitz.

New York released the 33-year-old earlier this offseason after he missed 13 games in 2024 due to injury. He tried to make a comeback to play for the Ravens, but he was not able to get medically cleared to play.

The former Alabama Crimson Tide standout was selected to five Pro Bowls alongside five second-team All-Pro nods. Most of these accolades came in his first five seasons with Baltimore. The Ravens drafted him in the first round in 2014.

He joined the Jets as a free agent in 2019 on a five-year, $85-million contract. Mosley was a team captain in New York throughout his time there and helped the Jets finish top five in total defense the last three seasons. He then opted out of the 2020 season during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mosley finishes his career with 1,083 tackles, 55 tackles for loss, 12 sacks, and 12 interceptions. He also won back-to-back College Football National Championships with the Crimson Tide in 2011 and 2012.

Shoutout to one hell of a career for CJ Mosley!
