The Washington Commanders are re-signing linebacker Bobby Wagner to a one-year deal worth up to $9.5 million, according to Ian Rapport and Mike Garofalo.

Wagner’s new contract also reportedly includes $8 million guaranteed.

The 34-year-old will return for his 14th NFL season after signing with the Commanders in March 2024.

Wagner was a leader of Washington’s defense in 2024, tallying 132 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, and two sacks while earning his 10th Pro Bowl.

The former Utah State product spent the first 10 seasons of his career with the Seattle Seahawks. Wagner left Seattle to play for the Los Angeles Rams in 2022 before returning to the Seahawks in 2023.

He now looks to help continue with the rebuild and revival of the Washington Commanders.
