MLB Bets: Divisional Series

The wild card round was everything except for wild. Four series, four sweeps, three underdogs brought home the bacon.
This next round is a little different, as I bet all underdogs in the wild card round. The divisional round will be where I jump back on the favorites.
Still have not pulled the trigger on a Braves bet, the Phillies are respectable opponents for them. Also have not decided on who I like in the Orioles and Rangers series either.
I have found ways around that however, not only will I be betting Overs game to game in both of those series, I have other bets on the series I am on.
Will teams who had a bye in the wild card round come out shaky? Hey, I have to ask.
MLB Bets: The Red Beard
Rangers vs Orioles
Man this might be the best series of the playoffs, at least the best series of this round. Two teams who were not supposed to be here, are here. After all of the ups and downs in the regular season, these fan bases get playoff baseball for the first time in a while.
I lean Rangers in the Series due to experience. Orioles are a very, very talented team. They are also very, very young. Most of these players have zero post season experience outside of Kyle Gibson who was a huge part in the Phillies run to the world series.
Rangers, although not together have a lot of veteran players who had playoff runs elsewhere.
I will bet this series game by game, by betting overs on the total. I also have a series bet of this thing going the distance. (Rangers/Orioles to go 5 games +146)
Twins vs Astros
I still can not believe the Twins beat the Blue Jays, but hey that is not what this article is about. Minnesota is set to face the reigning champions in the Houston Astros.
I am going to keep this one short and sweet, Astros sweep!
Okay, okay, let me throw my two cents out there. The pitching for the Twins has not been good this season outside of the two starters who pitched against Toronto. Pablo Lopez and Sonny Gray.
This Astros team is coming into this playoffs already a dynasty and looking to add to the legacy that is the late teens early 20’s Astros. I like the Astros however you want to take them, myself? I am betting the Astros sweep the Twins. (Astros to win series 3-0 +540)
Dodgers vs Diamondbacks
This series is going to be a fun one. The Arizona Diamondbacks were my preseason team to make a run from the wild card spot. Now that we are here, can they do it?
We bet D-Backs against Brewers at +154, the Dodgers however are a different breed. Los Angeles has been the big brothers of the NL West for a long time now.
Can we see a repeat of last season? Where the Padres made a run from the wild card spot beating the Dodgers in the second round? A lot of questions in this series.
Dodgers pitching rotation being one of the biggest ones. The bats can make up for a lot, however if the Diamondbacks are swinging like they did last round this could get ugly for LA.
Who am I kidding, the Diamondbacks are a great story and a team that will compete for championships really soon. I think Arizona gets one game at home and that’ll be it. (Dodgers to win series 3-1 +280)
Braves vs Phillies
No bets on this series, I will monitor it game by game. I will be betting Overs in most games, and back pitchers when I see fit.
This series can go either way to me, so why force any bet. If I had to bet it, I would bet the Braves, who have looked like the best team in baseball all season long.
However I already have futures tickets on them making it to the World Series. So why would I want to add anything right now.
If anybody can beat the Braves, it is the Phillies, so how is that for contradicting sentences.
MLB Bets: Divisional Round Recap
Rangers/Orioles to go 5 games +146
Astros to sweep (win series 3-0) +540
Dodgers to win series 3-1 +280
