There is a lot to unpack here, I am going to keep it light and keep it tight. here is a full breakdown of all of these bets on Captain By A Hook below. Or scroll to the bottom for all bets listed.

This season feels like it is the turning of the ages. Superstars of the 2010’s are being phased out and a new group of elite talent is taking the hardwood.

For this article, and your time, I will write down the few names I like for every award, as well as who I am betting the most on.

Also have seven over and unders for wins this regular season. Three bets on teams to either make or not make the playoffs at some beautiful numbers.

I will update this topic every few weeks throughout the season as things change and new numbers appear.

My Preseason Favorite to Win Championship

It is so hard not to pick the Bucks in Milwaukee to win the Finals this season. They are tied as the favorite with the Boston Celtics at +380.

I will wait on this bet and try to catch the Bucks at any number higher than +500. I believe Damian Lillard’s scoring will put this team in another stratosphere.

Keep an eye on Bucks to win the Championship numbers, anytime you see it higher than +500, I suggest getting in on it.

NBA Futures: MVP

Damian Lillard has been one of the best NBA players over the last decade. He is still young with a lot in the tank.

When the Trail Blazers were good, there were other superstars taking over the league. This is his first season on the Bucks, who look to be the best regular season team in the league.

I think Dame being Dame and the success of the Bucks makes him a dark horse favorite to win MVP. At +3600, it is a no brainer. It could just be me, however I am tired of the Giannis, Embiid, Joker, and Luka debate.

I think they all take a back seat to Dame Dolla this season. I also like Damian Lillard as the Clutch Player of the Year award at +1000, whatever that is.

Defensive Player of the Year

Keep it short and sweet! Herbert Jones is the best perimeter defensive player I have ever seen. He is a long shot coming into the season, yet I think his minutes increase.

If the Pelicans can be competitive, Jones will get a lot of noise and some attention in this market. Herb Jones +5000.

NBA Futures: Most Improved

Mikal Bridges, cased closed. He has been that man since college and will now have a full season to spread his wings.

Most improved is a funny award because sometimes it is players with an opportunity to become number two or number one instead of number three or four that gives them the shots needed to shine.

Mikal Bridges will be one of the best players in the NBA which is why I am betting him at +1000 for most improved before this number plummets.

(Honorable mentions, who I will have a small bet on as well.)

Obi Topin getting out of New York will be able to thrive with the Pacers. +3500.

Anthony Edwards was my favorite for this award last season, just in case I am one season off. +4000.

Bennedict Mathurin in his sophomore season will look to dominate. Yet him and Topin are on the same team, who will shine more. +6500.

Cade Cunningham with Monty Williams as coach this season is also a strong thought. +1500.

Clutch Player of the Year

After Damian Lillard for this award at +1000. I love Donovan Mitchell and Jalen Brunson, both at +2200.

6th Man of the Year

Weird seeing Chris Paul‘s name on this list, and I wonder is he will come off of the bench enough to win this award. +1700 for the point God.

I love a few other names in this market, long shots. Josh Hart at +3700 for the Knicks even tho another Knick is the second favorite, Iman Quickley.

Not sure how many minutes or shots Cam Thomas will get, but we saw what he can do at this level if given a chance. Cam Thomas +5000 because “ain’t bleep funny”.

Colin Sexton was once regarded as one of the best young players, I will take a stab on him at +5500.

Coach of the Year:

Monty Williams is in my opinion, the best NBA coach of the last decade. He turned a Pelicans team around. Then he took a Suns team who won 15 games for 4 years straight and broght them to the finals.

This season he will take over Detroit, and I look for him to get the honor of coach of the year at +3000.

NBA Futures: Recap

Damian Lillard MVP +3600
Herb Jones DPOY +5000

Mikal Bridges Most Improved +1000 (Honorable mentions listed above)
