CBB Power Rankings 12/17/2024
This article is going to be exactly what it sounds like from the title. Every Tuesday I will release my top 10 college basketball teams in the country according to my power rankings.
My rankings unlike the Ap and Coaches polls are based on two completely separate things. I focus more on gambling and the tournament. For example, the best record, or run does not phase me. Things like the chemistry and rebounding will tell me more about how deep a team will go in March.
Which is what I focus this weekly power rankings on. How good are you against the spread? How deep do I think you can go in March?

- Kentucky
- Auburn
- Tennessee
- Iowa State
- Florida
- UCLA
- Alabama
- Kansas
- Dayton
- Duke
Making a list and checking it twice, Duke and Dayton sneak into the top 10 this week with big wins. That and the fact that they have been competitive against top teams all season.
Kentucky and Auburn still show very strong basketball garnering them 1 and 2 in this week’s list. Florida remains undefeated getting them some love this week breaking into not only my top 10, yet my top 5 even.
Tennessee has proven they are worthy of being the number one team in the nation, I have no argument against that beside my opinion. My opinion when creating my CBB Power Rankings is that both Kentucky and Auburn would beat Tennessee when they meet, anywhere.
UCLA backed up their huge win against Oregon last week with an almost even bigger win against Arizona in Tucson over the weekend. The mighty, mighty Bruins have won 8 straight and added their name with ink into my top 10.
While Kansas and Alabama continue to prove that there is not a team out there that can beat them when they are clicking on all cylinders.
