CBB Power Rankings 11/21/2023.
This article is going to be exactly what it sounds like from the title. Every Tuesday I will release my top 10 college basketball teams in the country according to my power rankings.
Last year while UConn was never ranked number one nationally, I had them as the number team for stretches last season.
My rankings unlike the Ap and Coaches polls are based on two completely separate things. I focus more on gambling and the tournament. For example, the best record, or run does not phase me. The chemistry and rebounding will tell me more about how deep a team will go in March.
Which is what I focus this weekly power rankings on. How good are you against the spread? How deep do I think you can go in March?

- Kansas
- UConn
- Arizona
- Purdue
- Creighton
- Marquette
- Houston
- Kentucky
- Tennessee
- Memphis
Boy oh boy the hardest thing I ever had to do was make room for all of these teams in the top 5. UConn is on the heels of being the best team in the country, and they might very well be. However no reason yet to knock Kansas off the mountain top, plenty of time in the season for them to stagger, or not.
Creighton, Marquette, Purdue, and Arizona all deserve to be number 3 in my opinion, yet that is just not how rankings work. I shuffled these four teams around and came out with this unfair movement of Marquette and Creighton down.
Kentucky and Memphis are two very, and I mean very good teams this season rolling under the radar.
The two new additions to my list are Houston, and Tennessee. Two teams with a lot of experience and lock down defense led by great guards. After waiting for them to prove to me that they are not a top 10 school, they finally proved that they are.
Still Early as the Old Folks Say
Still a lot of basketball to watch and analyze and play. This is just week one of this power rankings, as the weeks go on it will become accurate.
By the second week of December is usually when I feel like I truly have the best 10 teams in the nation.
