Chris Mack made his official return to the sidelines as a head coach in college basketball today. Mack lead the College of Charleston into battle against Southern Illinois in the field of 68 showcase to open the College Basketball Season.

Chris Mack started his career at College of Charleston 1-0 in a 90-80 victory over Southern Illinois. After this game being the definition of basket for basket basketball most of the game, College of Charleston pulled away with around 5 minutes left.

Once the lead was pushed to double digits, that mark was maintained. Great games to start the season from big man Ante Brzovic, point guard CJ Fulton, and wings Deywilk Tavarez, and Jaxon Prunty off the bench.

Ante Brzovic lead the way on both ends, the team simply went as he went. Causing a ruckus on defense Brzovic also scored 27 points, grabbed 9 rebounds, and dished out 4 assist on the offensive side.

CJ Fulton was the head of the snake, feeding Brzovic and the rest of the guys as well as defending and scoring himself. Fulton finished the game with 17 points and 7 assist.

Deywilk Tavarez also scored 17 points in 28 minutes supplying a wing presence for College of Charleston. Also off of the bench, freshman Jaxton Punty scored 10 points.

College of Charleston and Chris Mack put us on notice to watch out for the Cougars.
