The Duke Blue Devils have been rolling since ACC Conference Play has begun. Most recently beating a 12-3 Pittsburgh team, giving them their first conference loss of the season.

Duke made it look easy winning the game 76-47 and doing it with old school, hard nose defense. This feels like Duke basketball when Duke basketball when Coach K was in his prime.

Stifling defense combined with above average offense is a great recipe for success. At in those Cameron Crazies screaming their lungs out and this Duke team might be untouchable at home this season.

Duke held Pittsburgh to less than 25 points in both the first and second half of basketball last night. Pittsburgh scored only 24 points in the first half and followed up the second half with 23.

Cooper Flagg has been hyped as the number 1 pick in next years NBA Draft since before he ever even put on a Blue Devils jersey. And while he is living up to the hype and more, he is not alone in this potent offense.

All five Blue Devils starters scored in double digits last night, led by Flagg’s 19 point, 10 rebound double double. Khaman Maluach scored 11 points. Kon Knueppel pitched in a beautiful 17 points. While both guards Sion James and Tyrese Proctor contributed as well. James with 10 points and Proctor with 13 on 3 of 4 shooting from behind the arc.

The Duke Blue Devils had two very tough single digit losses early in the season to Kentucky and at the time No. 1 Kansas.

That Kansas game was on November 26th and since then Duke has played in 9 games. Not only have they won all 9 games, they have done so by an average margin of 21.2 points per game.

Hard to lose close games when you do not allow the game to be close. Duke is now 5-0 in conference play and will look to continue their dominance on Saturday hosting Notre Dame.
