For the second week in a row, the number one ranked team in college basketball takes a loss. I remember the old days where a team would be number 1 all season long, not anymore. Purdue came up short, 92-88 against Northwestern.

Purdue losses less than 5 days after attaining the illustrious mark. While Kansas held the spot for the first two weeks of the season before surrendering it to a loss.

Northwestern did everything you need to do to take down a giant such as Purdue. The took care of the ball only giving up 3 turnovers, while forcing Purdue into 17. Northwestern also out shot Purdue in both % and volume, including a sharp 50% from the three point line.
