Good news in Arizona. The Arizona Cardinals are opening the 21-day practice windows for quarterback Kyler Murray as well as safety Budda Baker, head coach Jonathan Gannon announced Wednesday.

Murray is recovering from an ACL tear he suffered last year.  The team must now decide if he can  return to the active roster within 21 days. If not, he will revert to injured reserve status and that would put him out for the year.

Murray began the campaign on the physical unable to perform list after suffering the season-ending injury late last year. In his absence, Josh Dobbs has filled in for Murray this season, completing 62.8% of his passes for 1,215 yards, six touchdowns, and three interceptions in six starts.

With a whole new regime coming together in Arizona, Kyler may find himself on the move. However, there is a chance he is still the Cardinals quarterback of the future. He has said that the injury “woke him up” to how much he has loved football. Only time will tell, but this will be an interesting few weeks for the Cardinals and Kyler Murray.
