Jacksonville State backdoor covered for us yesterday to add another into the college record. Let’s keep it rolling for week five. Here are my plays for the Week Five of College Football.

FRIDAY
Louisville -3.5
This team is on the verge of entering the top 25. Louisville has been impressive to start out the season so far, and they get a good test against a weird NC State team. NC State has been up and down so far to start this season. I like Louisville to win this game and get themselves into the top 25.
Utah +4.5
This is going to be a tough battle between two PAC12 teams. Oregon State is coming off a tough loss to Washington State. They will try to defend the home field against a very tough Utah team. Utah’s defense has been a force this season to start out. Cam Rising is questionable to play, but I like it even more if he does play. Give me Utah to win another tough game lead by a strong defensive effort.
SATURDAY
Ragin Cajuns +11.5
Minnesota had a tough go of it last week. They led big for a good amount of the game, but Northwestern found a way to steal victory from the jaws of defeat. Minnesota has been shaky to start the year so far. PJ Fleck is also rumored to maybe be taking a new job next year. There just seems to be too much weirdness around that team. Due to that, I like the Ragin Cajuns to keep it within 10 points in this Week Five matchup.
Colorado +21.5
Colorado got a little bit of humble pie last week after a beat down from Oregon. They now get a chance to bounce back and take on a tough USC matchup. I like Colorado to keep this one close, but do admit I am a bit nervous. Travis Hunter is not playing in this game as of now. I am going to take Colorado in a backdoor spot, and can see them covering late if the offense is better.
Michigan -17.5
Michigan is 1 of 2 4-0 teams to not cover just yet this year. The Wolverines has done a great job of taking control of the game. I have not liked what I’ve seen out of Nebraska so far this year. I like Michigan to cover in this spot for the first time this year, and win by about 20.
Notre Dame -5.5
ND had a tough go of it last week. They just fell short of beating Ohio State. ND comes in with a 29 in a row game win streak versus ACC opponents. Duke is good, but I feel as if Notre Dame will lean on the run game and wear them out. Give me the Fighting Irish to cover and get a good bounce back win.
Air Force -10.5
Air Force has been a wagon so far this year, and have been covering in every game. In this game, I like them to run all over a San Diego State defense that is not the best during the run. This line would have been 17ish, but San Diego State got a win against Ohio without Ohio’s starting QB. Give me the wagon they call Air Force, and I seem them to move to 5-0.
Georgia -14.5
Auburn has been struggling as of late on offense. That usually is an issue, but it is even more of a problem facing Georgia. This will be a tough game for Georgia, but they tend to get better as the season goes on. This is the toughest test to date, but I like Georgia to get the job done and cover.
Clemson -6.5
Clemson needs a big win. They are just outside the top 25, and a win against Syracuse will be the thing to get the job done. Syracuse is also dealing with some big injuries, and that concerns me for them. I like Clemson to win this game, and can see them to cover.
JMU -2.5
James Madison is close to joining wagon territory.They have gotten better every week, all starting from the Virginia game. Facing South Alabama, this is a big game for JMU. Ilike JMU to win, and will take them to cover.
Parnell’s Nasty Boy Parlay Play of the Day
We are 1-3 on the year with the nasty boy. For this Week Five of College Football, we are going to keep it simple and combine some of my picks. I got this at +1184 boosted to +1777 with a 50% boost:
- Michigan -16.5 (-135)
- Notre Dame -2.5 alt spread (-178)
- Air Force -9.5 (-128)
- James Madison -2.5
