Thursday Night Football kicks us off for Week Seven of the NFL. We will see the return home for Sean Payton, as the Denver Broncos travel to the Caesar Superdome to play the New Orleans Saints.
Here are my plays for this Thursday Night Football Week Seven matchup.
Check out the latest episodes of the JCPod and Captain By A Hook for my full breakdowns. All odds are a mix/the best number from FanDuel, DraftKings, and BetMGM.
Straights
Broncos -2.5 (-110)
In this game, I look for Sean Payton to act out some revenge against his former team. If anybody knows Dennis Allen best, it’s gonna be Sean Peyton. I look for the Broncos to be able to ride the hot hand of the defense and to be able to do just enough offense for them to win. I’ll look for the score to be around the 20 to 17 mark at the minimum, and will not be shocked to Sean. Payton tries to run it up a little bit and his return. The Saints are dealing with a plethora of injuries, making tonight a tough hill to climb out the gate.
Props
Bo Nix over 191.5 pass yards (-113)
Sean Payton seemed to hold Bo Nix back a little bit in a lot of these games. While he does allow him to throw some, he mainly seems to not have opened up the full playbook just yet. I look for this to be one of the first games where Payton lets Bo Nix loose. In the fourth quarter against the Chargers, Nix look pretty impressive.
I look for that to roll over here in this game, and for him to throw for about 210-215 yards.
Courtland Sutton longest reception over 19.5 yards (-122)
Sutton has hit this number five games in a row, putting him on an NBA Jam. I look for Sean Payton to have some plays drawn up with potentially one or two of them being Cortland Sutton deep shots.
Bub Means over 3.5 receptions (+102)
In the last game with Spencer rattler, Bub was able to get five receptions. With all the injuries in the Saints tonight, I look for him and Kamara to be the main targets. I look for Means to get about the same amount of receptions in this game as he did last games, putting him around five to six.
Touchdown Props
In this Thursday Night Football Week Seven game, I’m kind of stuck in the middle of a few guys. I like both Courtland Sutton (+220) or Troy Franklin (+600) at receiver, with Adam Trautman (+1400) maybe even getting a revenge touchdown against his former team.
As for the Saints, it’s Alvin Kamara (-120) or bust for me. This is at least until I get a live read of how Spencer Rattler is playing and who is the main targets are.
Parnell’s Nasty Boy Parlay Play of the Day
We are having a good start to the year for the Nasty Boys, giving us some flexibility to mess around with some big odds occasionally. Tonight feels like the perfect night to get a bit spicy and swing for a 500+ foot homer.
I was able to get odds of +1796 boosted to +2335 if you decide to use a 30% boost:
- Alvin Kamara over 4.5 receptions (-138)
- Courtland Sutton anytime touchdown (+220)
- Bub means over 35.5 receiving yards (-110)
- Troy Franklin over 23.5 receiving yards (-110)
