Happy Thanksgiving from us at Stare Down Sports! With three games on turkey day, there are a lot of opportunities to get full of food and make some money!
Here are my plays for this NFL Thanksgiving slate.
Check out the latest episodes of the JCPod and Thursdays episode of Captain By A Hook for my full breakdowns and analysis. All odds are a mix/the best number from FanDuel, DraftKings, and BetMGM.
Straights
Lions -9.5 (-110)
The Lions have had issues covering spreads on their last few Thanksgiving games. With how dominant they have shown to be this year, I look for that to change. They’re taking teams very serious in every game, and this is a very important division game for them. With how tight the NFC North is this year, they can not afford to stumble if they want home field advantage . I see the Lions pulling away as the game goes on, and winning by 14+ points.
Cowboys -3 (-130)
I refuse to take the Cowboys at any number that is higher than three. With the news that Tommy DeVito may not be starting, I am now a bit nervous about this game. Regardless, I expect the Cowboys to get their first win this season in JerryWorld. This may be a tight game, but I expect the Cowboys to be able to pull ahead late in the game and win by at least a field goal.
Packers -3 (-130)
With how cold it will be in Lambeau Field Thursday Night, I just can’t get myself the bet on the Dolphins. I just keep getting flashbacks to the playoff game against the Kansas City Chiefs. While I do expect this to be a tough game, I do see the Packers getting the upper hand. This should be a close game throughout, so I’m going to ride with the home team and take the -3, giving us a void chance.
Props
Malik Nabers over 67.5 receiving yards (-110)
With how frustrating of a week he had last week, I expect Nabers to have a better time out this game. There were issues with how long it took to get Nabers involved into the game. With how talented he is, I don’t expect Daboll to do that again.
Jahmyr Gibbs over 71.5 rush yards (-110)
A reason for taking this over is the injury to David Montgomery. I am not too sure how many carries the Lions will give Montgomery. Due to that and with how good Gibbs has been playing, this could be a huge game for Gibbs.
Tim Patrick over 21.5 receiving yards (-110)
With Amon Ra dealing with injury going into this game, I look for Tim Patrick to hit this over. He should get about four targets minimum, and that should be more than enough to hit the over.
Dontayvion Wicks over 39.5 receiving yards (-113)
With no Romeo Doubs, this means more chances for Wicks. Assuming he will catch at least half the targets his way, I like for him to hit this over. Wicks can truly be a great weapon for the Packers, he has just been having issues with drops.
Jonnu Smith over 48.5 receiving yards (-113)
Jonnu has been a big feature in this Dolphins offense the last few weeks. I project him to get about five catches for 50 yards, so this is the reason for me going over.
KaVonte Turpin over 5.5 receiving yards (-110)
With how explosive Turpin is, this number is way too low. Any touch for Turpin can turn into a big play. Based on his last few games, if he gets a touch??? He is hitting this over!
Game Specials
Any defensive player to get an interception and return it for a touchdown (+195)
I just enjoy the fact that this bet is plus money. With the quarterbacks that we have playing Thursday, you can expect a turnover or two.
We just need a touchdown along with that.
Any offensive lineman touchdown (+1700)
I’m taking this with the hope that Dan Campell has a trick play up his sleeve. With how big the odds are, this will only be a small sprinkle.
Anytime touchdown scorers
Jahmyr Gibbs -170
Jameson Williams +230 or Tim Patrick +650
Roschon Johnson +230
Malik Nabers +210
Rico Dowdle +105
Josh Jacobs -175
De’Von Achane -115
Tyreek Hill +150
Dontayvion Wicks +300
Parnell’s Nasty Boy Parlay Play of the Day
No better time to start the hot streak than on Thanksgiving. I got two props mixed in with two moneylines.
I was able to get odds of +1018:
- Jahmyr Gibbs anytime touchdown (-170)
- Lions -6.5 (-180)
- Dontayvion Wicks anytime touchdown (+300)
- Packers moneyline
Let’s have a DAY! PLEASE GAMBLE RESPONSIBLY
