Friday Night in the first week of the NFL season takes us to Brazil, as the Kansas City Chiefs take on the Los Angeles Chargers. A divisional matchup to kickoff the year, this could end up being an important game for either team down the line.

Here are my JCs Plays for the Friday Night Fun in Brazil.

Check out the latest episodes of the JCPod for my full breakdowns and analysis. All odds are a mix/the best number from FanDuel, DraftKings, and BetMGM.

Straights

Chiefs -3 (-115)

The Chiefs have beat the Chargers in seven straight games now. Coming off the beating they took in the Super Bowl, I look for the Chiefs to bounce back this season and respond. While the Chargers still may be a good team this year, I want them to prove to me that they can beat the Chiefs before I bet on them or not against them. I was also shocked to see this number at -3, as I thought it would definitely be around the five to six range.

Props

Xavier Worthy over 59.5 receiving yards (-114) & Over 4.5 rush yards (-102)

With Rashee Rice gone, I expect Xavier Worthy and Travis Kelce to pick up a lot of those targets and looks in the early season. While Kelce may fade a little bit when Rashee Rice comes back, Xavier Worthy should be a strong either number one or number two option along with Rice. When it comes to this game, I expect Worthy or Kelce to be the head of the passing attack, which should allow Worthy to hit his over.

As for the rush over, I expect there to be at least one gadget play the Chiefs run that allow Worthy to get a carry in space. It will just be a matter if he gains enough yards or not, as I don’t know if they will run two or more gadget plays for him. However, 4.5 rush yards feels well low enough for me to like it.

Omarion Hampton over 46.5 (-114)

It just got announced today (Thursday September 4th) that Omarion Hampton will be starting for the Chargers. I’m excited to watch the rookie, as he did truly have a pretty great college career. 46.5 total rush yards feels a little bit low for him, but this is a really good Kansas City defense. I definitely think this number is hittable, and I’m gonna take advantage of it. I truly don’t know how many times we will see this number again this year.

Travis Kelce anytime touchdown (+155)

As for picking a touchdown scorer for this game, it just feels right that it would end up being Travis Kelce. I will admit, I am not the most confident in this bet, but I still do like the chances of it hitting. I was torn between Kelce and Kareem Hunt, but I am sticking with Kelce.

Parnell’s Nasty Boy Parlay Play of the Day

As for the second Nasty Boy of the NFL season, we will keep it similar to the first, as it will be all player props.

I was able to get odds of +994:

  • Patrick Mahomes over 1.5 pass touchdowns (-138)
  • Omarion Hampton over 46.5 rush yards (-114)
  • Isiah Pacheco over 8.5 receiving yards (-114)
  • Keenan Allen over 40+ receiving yards (+100)

Let’s have a DAY! PLEASE GAMBLE RESPONSIBLY
