Happy National Tight Ends Day! The NFL Sunday Week 8 slate gives us six teams on bye, so this will be the lightest amount of Sunday games this year.
Here are my plays for NFL Sunday Week 8.
Check out the latest episodes of the JCPod for my full breakdowns and analysis. All odds are a mix/the best number from FanDuel, DraftKings, and BetMGM.
Straights
Ravens -3.5 (-105)
This is the kitchen sink game for the ravens, as they truly cannot afford to lose another game. With their season hanging on by threads, I’ll look for them to get a huge win against the Bears here. The Bears offense did not look the best last week, but playing the Ravens defense might give them a chance to get some things going. I’m curious to see if Caleb Williams will be able to bounce back in this game. If Lamar doesn’t play in this game, I will be pulling this bet off my board.
Steelers +3 (-120)
I’m gonna take the Steelers to defend home field in this game. The Packers have been playing with fire for the last few weeks and have played a lot of close games. If they play another close game here, I like that we get the Steelers and the +3 points. One fear I do have though is the Steelers defense. They have shown that they are able to give up points, and the Packers offense does have a few weapons.
Colts -14.5 (-110)
The Colts have just been a machine on offense and continue to put up points. As for the Titans, they have been struggling a lot this season. I look for the Colts to win this game huge at home. With how efficient that offense is, it will only be a matter of time until they pull away in the game. I see Tennessee putting up maybe 14 to 17 points, and Indianapolis will probably put up close to 40 again.
49ers money line (+110)
With the news that Nico Collins is out now, this play will officially be a bet that I am taking. I have no idea how the Texans are gonna be able to score points on offense, so that makes me like for the 49ers to get a massive win here.
Props
Drake Maye over 1.5 pass touchdowns (-130)
Drake Maye has been on fire these last couple of weeks. With how good Cleveland is against the run, I look for Drake made to take advantage of it and get a couple of passing touchdowns.
Rico Dowdle over 50.5 rush yards (-114)
The Buffalo Bills defense has been a run funnel so far this season, so they should give Rico Dowdle a good chance to hit this over. The only thing that might hurt him as the fact that he is splitting time with Chuba Hubbard.
Bijan over 100+ rush yards (+146)
Like we talked about with the Falcons bet, the Miami Dolphins run defense is absolutely horrible. There is a really good chance that Bijan Robinson will get 100 yards rushing this game, and I would not be shocked if he gets even more than that.
Cade Otton over 39.5 receiving yards (-114)
With Mike Evans gone for the season and Chris Godwin most likely not playing, it’s going to be an all hands on deck type of game. I like how low this total is, as Otton seems to be able to get big chunk yard plays at any moment.
Tyler Warren over 55.5 receiving yards (-114)
Tyler Warren has become a main target on this often since he has been drafted. I like this number is under 60 yards, as I feel as if he will have a big day against the Titans.
Jonathan Taylor over 100.5 rush yards (-114)
To go along with Tyler Warren, I expect Jonathan Taylor to have a huge game against the Titans. There’s a good chance Jonathan Taylor could rush for close to 150 yards, as Jeffrey Simmons might be missing this game this week. Regardless, I at least like for Jonathan to get over 100 rushing yards in this game, as the Colts offense has been so efficient this year.
George Kittle anytime touchdown (+185)
With it being national tight in today, it’s only right that the creator of it is one of the guys to score a touchdown on the day.
Tyler Warren anytime touchdown (+110)
Tyler Warren has scored three weeks in a row now, putting him on a NBA Jam. With the Colts looking like they will put up at least 40 points again this week, there’s a good chance that Warren can make it four weeks in a row.
Javonte Williams anytime touchdown (-130)
I am only taking this bet because it is a revenge game for Javonte Williams. Due to that, I feel as if the Cowboys will try and get him a touchdown if they get the opportunity.
Rachaad White anytime touchdown (-130)
I like for Rachaad White to get used in the goaline for the Buccaneers.
Parnell’s Nasty Boy Parlay Play of the Day
Thursday Night we were all over it, but missed by one leg. For National Tight Ends day, it is only right we go all tight end props right??
I was able to get odds of +4334:
- George Kittle anytime touchdown (+185)
- Tyler Warren anytime touchdown (+110)
- Cade Otton anytime touchdown (+185)
- Dallas Goedert anytime touchdown (+160)
Let’s have a DAY! PLEASE GAMBLE RESPONSIBLY
