It is time for Saturday of Wildcard Weekend, and we have two interesting games. One is a rematch with a massive spread, while the other is a trilogy with the series currently tied 1-1. Who will move on to the Divisional Round of the NFL Playoffs?

Here are my plays for the NFL Saturday of Wildcard Weekend.

Straights

Rams vs Panthers

Coming into this game, this is one of the biggest spreads in Wildcard Weekend history. These two teams played earlier in the season, and it took a lot of bounces going the Panthers way for them to pull out that win. Even with that, the Rams had a chance to drive down the field and score to win the game. When it comes to the spread in this game, I think I am just going to stay away. While I do think the Rams will win and there’s a good chance they do cover, the back door is just way too much in play for me to want to take this game. The Rams could be up 17 with two minutes left, and the Panthers score a meaningless touchdown to beat us.

Another reason I am staying away from this game is because the Panthers have been pretty good off losses. The Panthers are 8–0 against the spread coming off a loss, and all eight of their wins this year or after a loss. I still don’t think they will beat the Rams, but all these stats are enough to keep me away from the spread.

Packers vs Bears

Now when it comes to this game, I don’t think I really know which way I want to go yet still. I leaned the Packers, but it’s hard not to want to take the Bears at home. My reasoning for deciding to take the Packers is mainly because they have been here and done it before. On the other side, this is the Bears first real playoff push with this group of guys. I think I am going to take the Packers on the money line solely based on the experience factor.

However, I will not be shocked at all of the Bears find a way to pull this out and win. The season series is tied one to one, so who gets to take bragging rights to say they beat the other side two times? In the first two games, the first half started off really slow and then we got a banger second half. Will that happen again?

Official bet: Packers money line (-126)

Props

Now, when it comes to props for these two games, there is a couple different ways I’m going to attack.

For the Rams vs Panthers, I am only taking two props with the Rams. I just have no idea what to expect from this Panthers offense, so I don’t want to put my money on any of their player props. The two main people I would think about betting on is Rico Dowdle and Tetairoa McMillan. However, Dowdle has split carries a lot more recently. I also can’t trust in Bryce Young’s passing game consistency either, so that rules out Tetairoa. One bet I almost did take was Bryce Young’s rushing over. However, it was just a tad too high for me when it opened at 18.5 yards.

I will be officially taking two props from this game:

– Kyren Williams rush over 68.5 (-112)

– Matt Stafford over 0.5 rush yards (+134)

As for the Packers and Bears game, I like the props in this game a bit more. While the first half of these games has started out pretty slow, the offenses seemed to get it going when it reaches a second half.

– Christian Watson recieving over 53.5 yards (-112)

– Romeo Doubs recieving over 34+ yards (-109)

– Jordan Love over 10+ rush yards (-112)

– Caleb Williams over 20+ rush yards (-140)

When it comes to any time touchdown, scorers, I like: Rico Dowdle (+155), Davante Adams (-140), Kyren Williams (-135), Romeo Doubs (+210) and D’Andre Swift(+160).
