It is crazy to think we will only have six weeks left after the end of Saturday. We need to enjoy the moment, and College Football in Week 8 has some good games and other games with MASSIVE College Football Playoff implications.

Here are my plays for College Football Week 8.

Straights

Friday

Utah State -3.5 (-122)

After a not so good performance last week, we are coming back to see if Utah State will get off the mat this week. San Jose comes to town, and that is a team that Utah State should be able to beat. I am nervous about this hook on the game. However, I believe that as long as there are no crazy late turnovers, Utah State could win this game by about seven points.

Saturday

Georgia Tech money line (+102)

This is a very important game for Tech. If they win this game, there is a really good chance they will find themselves in the ACC title game. This will be a tough road test for them, as Duke has played really solid this year. Coming in as a 1.5 point dog, Tech could truly win this game.

Maryland +3.5 (-122)

Maryland has been so close to winning two weeks in a row, just to have it slip away right at the end of the game both times. As for the other side, UCLA has been on fire (especially offensively) since they have fired their head coach. This is one of those situations you wonder when does the magic run out for UCLA. I’m thinking it could potentially end here. Maryland truly has a very talented quarterback in Malik Washington, who I think will be able to keep Maryland within the three points.

I think Maryland could even win this game with how talented they are, but I just can’t trust them fully to close out the game. After the last two weeks, we will stick with the points and see if we can get a winning bet with the Terrapins for a third week in a row.

Hawaii money line (+116)

Colorado State has had a really rough season this year so far, so this could be a great opportunity for Hawaii to get a road win. One thing I am scared of is the defense, as there are some weeks that Hawaii has shown they are willing to give up points. If they can play how they did against Utah State, Hawaii can for sure win this game. With how Colorado State played last week, I’m curious to see if they will be able to carry over a similar performance into this game.

Purdue +3.5 (-128)

With how massive of a win Northwestern had last week, I feel as if there might be a little bit of a hangover for them coming into this game. As for the other side, Purdue has been pretty frisky in their games this year, and they have shown that they can be competent. I think this will be a very close game, and I like that we can get the hook on the 3.5 points.

Parnell’s Nasty Boy Parlay Play of the Day

  • UNLV +12.5 (-110)
