Week 12 of the College Football season is upon us. That means we are that much closer to bowl season. There are a few good games left before we get to major rivalries next week. Here are my plays for the College Football Week 12 slate.

Check out the latest episodes of the JCPod and Captain By A Hook for my full breakdowns. All odds are a mix/the best number from FanDuel, DraftKings, and BetMGM.

Friday

Colorado +4.5 (-110)

When it comes to this game, it’s a battle of two teams who both have had rough years. Coming into this game, I’m gonna ride the talent Deion Sanders has got on this team. I know the lines are going to be issues, but I’m hoping that with the +4.5 they can keep a close and within a field goal. This could be their best chance to win one more game this season, as they play Utah next week.

Saturday

Louisville moneyline (-110)

When it comes to this game, I feel as if Miami won’t have much left in the tank. It felt like they left it all out there in a loss to Florida State, and I’m curious to see how they respond. They are going back to Tyler Van Dyke after an injury to Emory Williams. The vibes just seem off.

Meanwhile, Louisville has a real shot at making the CFP. If some other losses happen and they are left with one loss, they got a real shot. Give me Jeff Brohm and Louisville to win this game and continue a strong season.

Oklahoma State -6.5 (-110)

Oklahoma State had a bury the ball game last week. Losing 45-3 to UCF, nothing seemed right from the beginning with them. Coming into this game with Houston, I look for Oklahoma State to get back on track. Ollie Gordon II has been a good weapon for them, and I look for them to get the ground game going again this week. I look for Oklahoma State to get back on track and beat Houston by more than a touchdown.

Northwestern +3 (-115)

Northwestern has had a pretty strong season. Their coach just got extended, and they are two wins away from a bowl game. They realistically could win these last two games, so I look for them to be super competitive here. Meanwhile, Purdue has been feisty in some games, but I feel as if the will of Northwestern may be too much. I look for this to be a very close game. Give me Northwestern to win this game, but I’ll take +3 to be safe.

James Madison -9.5 (-110)

James Madison has been a wagon this year, and they have covered for me pretty much every week. They have made a lot of money for me to the point where I will be continuing to take them here. They recently just got denied by the NCAA a chance to play in a bowl game, so I’ll look for them to come out with some anger. I see James Madison imposing its will like it’s done all season, getting to a 10+ point lead by the 4th quarter. Gameday is in town, so the Dukes will show out.

Georgia -9.5 (-115)

Georgia has gradually been getting better as the season has been going on, and they might be close to their peak now. They have been looking really good on both sides of the ball, and I can see them imposing their will here. Tennessee just got routed last game by Missouri, who was fairly competitive with Georgia. Tennessee is  not the same team it was last year, and I see a game where they get beat up badly.

Kentucky moneyline (+105)

When it comes to this game, I like what I’ve seen out of Kentucky this year more than what I have out of South Carolina. Spencer Rattler hasn’t been horrible, but everything around him has not seemed to manage well. South Carolina has a very talented receiver, however I feel like Kentucky has more talent overall, Kentucky has had a really promising season, and they have a chance to go bowling. One more win and it’s a bowl game for Kentucky, so I will be taking them to win this game.

UCF +2.5 (-105)

UCF comes into this game after a huge and major blow out of Oklahoma State. They seem to have all things going that day and I look for them to continue right here in this spot. Being a big 12 matchup, and it also being Texas Tech, this game could go either way. I am going to ride the hot hand of UCF, as Texas Tech didn’t look too hot against Kansas last week.

Jacksonville State -8.5 (-110)

Jacksonville State has done well for me, and I’ll look for them to do it again in this spot. Last time we saw them, they covered against South Carolina with a chance to win the game. A late pick six would do them in, but they truly did look competitive that day. At home they are that much more of a juggernaut and I look for them to cover in the spot. I see Jacksonville State getting up big on Louisiana Tech, and running away with it.

Washington moneyline (-102)

In what might be game of the week Washington travels on the road to take on Oregon state. This looks to be a really good matchup, and it’s a rare instance of an 8-2 team being favored over a 10-0 team. If Washington wins this game, I see them in the 4th spot of the College Football Playoffs. This is a huge game for them, and I see them being able to pull out a win in Week 12.
